Why Choose Nutritional Therapy?

Nutritional Therapy is a recognised complementary practice focused on supporting vitality and health through nutrition, therapeutic supplements and cutting-edge testing that allows me to provide a personalised considered approach.

Modern life is stressful and we are under constant physical, emotional and environmental stress. Nutritional Therapy helps buffer your body from this stress and supports optimal health and vitality.

Nutritional therapy looks at your body as a whole, recognising that every system is connected to and impacts other systems in your body. I do not focus on your condition, disease or diagnosis, but rather strive to understand and resolve the root cause of your symptoms.

Think of your body as a car with a warning light showing. A warning light is your car’s way of telling you something is wrong, just as a symptom you might have (like tiredness or reflux) indicates an underlying imbalance.

You take your car to the garage and ask them to fix it, but if the mechanic simply removed the warning light your symptom would ‘disappear’, but you would not be any nearer to understanding what had caused the warning light (your symptom) to start flashing.

If we ignore our ‘warning lights’ for too long, we can end up with an even bigger problem.

Nutritional Therapy can support people of all ages and with a wide range of issues and concerns. Here are just a few examples:

  • Food allergies and intolerances
  • Chronic pain
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Low energy
  • Brain fog
  • Insomnia
  • Digestive issues
  • Hormonal imbalances
  • Stress
  • Depression
  • Ageing
  • Blood sugar imbalances (diabetes, pre-diabetes)
  • Cancer

Many clients also use Nutritional Therapy to maintain their health, energy and fitness levels and to reduce their risk of ill-health in the future.

The food we consume plays a vital role in our capacity to function, feel and think. Food is information and it’s important we are providing health-supporting information for our body.

I love cooking and find it therapeutic, but I understand that for many people cooking is stressful and they have limited time or facilities to produce healthful food for themselves, their families and friends. The personalised plans I create will take this into account and will not set you  unachievable goals nor expect you to be a professional chef.

In addition to clinic consultations, I offer other services for existing clients: weekly menu plans and recipes, kitchen cupboard/fridge makeovers and guided shopping to help you shop and cook in ways that reduce the time and stress.
